Paris!! You have no idea how many times I’ve imagined being there with the help of photos, books, movies and everything that describes this beautiful city, to get an idea how it is.
The city of love. With this description, Paris has been in my mind for so much time, and thanks to this opportunity, today I have the pleasure to finally say that we have met. Besides, I had the best time possible with the most incredible company for this adventure to whom I thank for letting me be his partner in crime during this visit.
How we expected, the city was so crowded of tourists, attracted for the fame of the city around the world. Even more, cause it was summer, the best season to visit. Getting lost in its streets, visiting the museums and appreciating the french architecture were some of the activities that were waiting for us. Below, I’m sharing my experience and some tips in case Paris is your next destination to visit.
Accommodation
We were staying in a hotel in the north of Paris, strategically selected by us near to a metro station to be able to easily get everywhere in the city. When we arrived, something funny happened. Let me explain this to you. We were very hot because of the 30 degrees it was that day. After the check in, we went to the room to rest a little before to going out. Once we were into the room and after looking around for some minutes, we realized that the room didn’t have airco, just a little ventilator. Good airconditioning was extremely necessary, but luckily we just needed it the first night, because the rest of the time it wasn’t necessary at all thanks to the nice weather. We just needed to have the windows open at all times. We were happy with our choise, because it was a good hotel, nice customer services, and a secure and comfortable enviromment. One tip, always check very good which things are included in your hotel reservation.
Transportation
In my opinion, it was very good, almost the same as in London at the beginning of the year. We bought cards that can be used for every type of public transportation in Paris for a whole week, and we just payed 27 euros per person. In order to arrange it, you just need to give a photo of yourself passport and they will put it on your personal card. Another option is to buy 2 euros ticket that can be used for 2 hours.
Food
For being a really big City, it has very good restaurants with French and foreign food. One day we ate a pizza made with solely organic ingredients, which was delicious!! Also, we ate Japanese food. As a side note I am still talking about that meal, yes, because it was really amazing. Sadly I don’t remember the names of the restaurants we went to, but if I have a second opportunity to go to Paris, I will visit those restaurants for sure.
Attractions
For some of the attractions in Paris, you have to wait in long lines. Therefore, I advice you to buy the tickets online or go to the place very early. This, so it is way less crowded. Below you can find a list of some of the places that I visited.

I loved Paris and definitely, if I can, I will go back for sure.
To be honest, when I was a little boy, I never imagined to be able to visit such an amazing place at my age and to be able to see it with my own eyes.
At the moment of writing, I am back in Panama and missing The Netherlands so much. I really hope that you like this post, and I want to thank you for taking the time to read it. Paris, la he recorrido infinidades de veces imaginariamente con la ayuda de fotografías, libros, películas y todo lo que en alguna ocasión describiera esta hermosa ciudad, para así tener una idea de como es.
La ciudad del amor. Bajo esta descripción, Paris a estado en mi mente desde hacía mucho tiempo y gracias a las oportunidades de la vida, tengo hoy el agrado de decir que finalmente nos hemos conocido y que, además, he tenido el mejor de los tiempos posible en compañía del culpable de esta aventura, a quien agradezco que me haya hecho cómplice de esta visita.
Como era de esperarce la ciudad estaba llena de turistas, atraídos, a mi juicio, por la fama que esta tiene alrededor del mundo, además, de la temporada perfecta para visitarla, el verano. Perderse en sus calles, visitar los museos y apreciar la arquitectura francesa son algunas de las actividades que nos aguardaban para el resto de la semana. A continuación les comparto mi experiencia y algunos consejos en caso de que Paris sea tu próximo destino a visitar.
Hospedaje
Fue un hotel al norte de Paris en el que nos hospedamos, estratégicamente seleccionado por nosotros cerca de la estación del metro que nos facilitaría el transporte a través de la ciudad. Al llegar al hotel nos ocurrió algo peculiar, permítanme y les cuento. Acalorados por los 30 grados de temperatura de ese día y luego de realizar el check in, nos dirigimos a la habitación para descansar antes de empezar la aventura, al abrir la puerta de la misma y después de buscar durante un par de minutos nos percatamos de que la habitación no tenía aire acondicionado y la única fuente de refrigeración era un pequeño abanico, el cual fue extremadamente necesario solo para esa primera noche, el resto de la semana nos bastaba con abrir las ventanas, ya que la temperatura había cambiado a nuestro favor. De igual forma, estábamos contentos con la selección de nuestro hotel, muy buena atención, cómodo y seguro. Consejo, verifica más de una vez las amenidades cuando reserves una habitación de hotel.
Transporte
A mi juicio, bastante bueno. Al igual que a principio de año en Londres, compramos tarjetas que pueden ser utilizadas para los diferentes tipos de transporte público en Paris durante una semana, por la que pagamos 27 euros, solo necesitas llevar una fotografía tipo pasaporte que ellos colocan en la tarjeta. También tienes la opción de comprar un ticket para el metro que cuesta 2 euros y puedes utilizar por el tiempo de 2 horas.
Comida
Como toda ciudad altamente visitada, ofrece una basta gastronomía propia y foránea. Optamos desde pizzas hechas con ingredientes orgánicos, hasta comida Japonesa de la que aún hablamos de lo deliciosa que fue, además de algunos antojitos de comida rápida. Lastimosamente no recuerdo los nombres de los restaurantes, pero de seguro, si volviera a Paris volvería a visitarlos.
Atracciones
En algunos de ellos debes hacer largas filas, mi recomendación es comprar las entradas por internet o visítalas temprano, es cuando la mayoría de ellos están menos concurrido. A continuación los lugares que tuve la oportunidad de visitar y que de seguro te gustarán.

Esta es la primera vez que visito Paris y no tengo queja alguna de ella, me ha encantado cada momento por lo que definitivamente me gustaría mucho volver a visitarla.
Para ser honesto, ni en mis sueños más grandes de niño imaginé que a esta edad vería con mis propios ojos lugares que, como les mencioné antes, solo había visto en películas
